Type 1 - Steady Rests with collapsible top
Suitable for workpieces ranging from Ø 20 to 450 mm and loads up to 5 tons.
The smallest steady rest is suitable for diameters ranging from Ø 20 to 200 mm.
For workpiece with more than Ø 300 mm and Ø 70 mm quills and above we can fit the steady rest with a gas spring for easier opening and closing operation.
This steady rest can also be fitted with the protected electronic measuring device. The steady rest can identify the centre of its machine and the quills can be preset on the basis of the tool diameter. This idea, which is patented, was invented by the master of tool and diemaking, Harry Richter and then developed for application by Richter Vorrichtungsbau.
